Grief
I’ve spent 15 years with complex grief around my father’s gender transition. This came with things no therapist, teacher, mentor, friend, or coach could help me with. Like an onion, it unfolded year over year, often impacted by systems outside of me: political, social & cultural, medical, etc. There wasn’t support for grief like mine, so I made this.
What I’ve learned is that:
When you acknowledge the extent of the grief, it moves.
When you recognize all the stories you’re still holding, they lose power over you.
When you remember what grief is doing for you, as a gift, you see the world a little brighter.
This document is informed by years of spiritual practice, therapy, theory, and coaching. It takes from many realms and summarizes that into an hour-long workbook. I hope it helps! Please let me know if it does. And, if you need more support, I’m happy to be a listening ear.
